Egypt and Israel agree to resume the stalled Palestinian autonomy talks. William Randolph Easler, an attorney for 10 years and a one- term Spartanburg County councilman, has been disbarred by the South Carolina Supreme Court. Tonight the Landrum Cardinals intertain Chapman at Landrum and the Polk Central Patriots are at home against the Chesnee Eagles. The Landrum Rescue Squad and the Landrum Fire Departments are having an Activity Day Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. at Palmetto Field. The Polk County Republicans are having an open house Saturday from 4 to7 p.m. at their headquarters in Columbus. Sunday the Tryon Painters & Sculptors, Inc. will have an opening reception from 3 to 5 for David Yaghjian of Saluda at the Fine Arts Center. His acrylics will be on exhibit during September. Tuesday they fell to T.C. Roberson 9-0 and on Wednesday lost a close 5-4 decision to A. C. Reynolds. The individual matches were as follows: T. C. Chapman at Landrum This game is for the championship of School District One In a way it’s too bad this game can't be the last one of the season. Landrum hasn’t been able to get its offense untracked in pre-season scrimmages and Chapman is supposed to have one of its best teams. Chapman should win this one, but you never can tell in a game with this much rivalry. Kickoff is at 8 p.m. Chesnee at Polk Central The Polk Central Patriots get their second game under their belts tonight and open their home season against the Chesnee Eagles. The Eagles always have an explosive team and the Patriots have yet to get their offense going. The Eagles in a close one. Lt. Gov. Jimmy Green Here Monday It Gov. Edwards will be the guest speaker at the Sandy Plains ARP Church beginning Sunday, Sept. 7 thru Thurs., Sept. 11.
